A common mistake of new running enthusiasts is to keep going and going without taking a break. Being in perpetual motion is unsustainable and eventually your body will slow you down through fatigue, injury or illness. That happened to me a few days this week as a sinus infection kept me off the road and out of the gym. Listening to my body by taking a few extra rest days now kept it from yelling at me later and allowed me to end the week with a brick.
